Thematic Reflection on The Global Topic of Identity

Mon Jun 10 2024In response to and building on top of the thought-provoking topic of identity brought up in the Lang B course, I decided to write and publish an article on my own Next.js website to deepen my understanding of the German language and engage with the globally recurring topic of identity and life philosophies.

In response to and building on top of the thought-provoking topic of identity brought up in the Lang B course, I decided to write and publish an article on my own Next.js website to deepen my understanding of the German language and engage with the globally recurring topic of identity and life philosophies.

  2. Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.

Investigation & Preparation

Find a few key questions whose answers can form the basis of the article, plan how the questions are going to be responded to, and determine the structure of the article.

Action

Write the article in .mdx in German, with appropriate textual and graphical elements to support my arguments.

Then, using next-mdx-remote, publish the article on a page on my website.

Reflection

Aside from being a great opportunity to reflect on my own life philosophies and perspectives on the topic of identity, it led me to the serendiptuous realization that, these personal reflections are merely personal and only represent the particular entity of myself in the world. I pictured how my acquaintances, parents, friends, and teachers may respond to these questions, and realized the diversity of perspectives that exists not only in the sphere around me but also the world at large. This experience has been a great reminder of the importance of attempting to accept, understand, and respect the mentalities of others, which I believe is a valuable characterist to have being in globalized surroundings.

In this practice writing, I reinforced my skills of planning an essay, as I had to structure my thoughts in a rather coherent manner that is not forceful. I believe that, not only will this aid me in an academic setting, but also in future careers.
